I am attempting to buy a car, but I have 2 problems. I am a new driver and I have never had insrance before. Also, my credit is still not good enough condition to get a comfortable monthly fee if i were to finance it. I was told to buy an old car so that I can have insurance history and my liscense for at least 2 years.
My question is, when buying an old car what is the maximum milage a car should have if I want it to last around 2 years?
What is a good car?
It%26#039;s all in the maintenance.
I paid $400 for a Mustang I drove over 130,000 miles.
I would pay attention to the Consumer Reports maintenance records if you need to have someone else repair your car but you%26#039;ll need something that doesn%26#039;t require a specalized mechanic to fix.
I tend to buy higher milage cars and drive them for another 100K or so and haven%26#039;t had any major problems yet. I find really good deals because of the %26quot;high milage%26quot; stigma. It%26#039;s all in the maintenance. A car that looks good for it%26#039;s age will most likely have good maintenance -- pride of ownership.
A deal that is too good to be true most likely isn%26#039;t...
What is a good car?
Depends on the car and how they take care of it.
An old Honda Accord or Toyota Camry with up to 150k miles would be ok. If it%26#039;s in good condition, you can have for many more miles.
What is a good car?
a Honda anything you can get a good one with 150,000miles for $3,000-$4,000 have it 10+years
What is a good car?
i would say that you should get a tahoe or escalade. but my top recommendation is a range rover
What is a good car?

What is a good car?
Get a Ford Crown Victoria. A 98 or later people will think your a cop, a powerful and efficient V8 engine, VERY comfortable, room for 6, easy to negotiate through the city and performs on the highway as good as some of the world%26#039;s best cars.
I bought one back in 2000 with 70,000 miles on it, and sold it in 2005 with 170,000 miles on it, wish I still had it though!
