Car deal was a joint agreement contingent on wife signing. She will not sign. Are we bound to purcha

They told me to bring my wife the next day. She will not sign. I have the car. Don%26#039;t think I can qualify for the loan by myself. Their finance guy call me and said they can get me financed. Don%26#039;t I have to sign new contract?

Their finance guy can always get you finance. He cares not at all if the car is later repossessed.

If you signed an offer to purchase the car, then you are probably stuck with it. I don%26#039;t think many documents relating to car purchase will be %26#039;contingent%26#039; on another party signing, unless you explicitly added this yourself. And I%26#039;m guessing you didn%26#039;t.

Howver, if you simply refuse to go ahead with the purchase, because of what you believe was the *intention* of both parties, then they might let it go, if you are strong enough.

But it sounds like you have already taken possession. That was probably a mistake - you will have a hard time getting them to take it back. I%26#039;m assuming that they are going to be hardasses about this - car dealerships usually are.

If you really want to get out of it, and they won%26#039;t play ball, then better consult a lawyer.

No, I don%26#039;t think so. If you don%26#039;t want the car, take it back.

And you are probably still inside that window they give you to return the car, like with %26quot;buyer%26#039;s remorse.%26quot;

Yep, and I would hate to think what the APR will be...The finance guys always say that. My advise to you is to return the car asap and find another way. Good luck!!

Put them to the test with your existing contract. F%26amp;I guys will try alot of shady stuff to get more money out of you, but if they really can%26#039;t get you financed at your agreed rate and terms, you can walk away, and they will have to give you your money back (if you paid any down). If they offer you another deal, read it carefully because it is probably at a higher rate etc. Don%26#039;t bow to the pressure.

No you do not and I urge you to not do so. If they cannot get you financed with what you already signed you are not bound. They could carry the paper themselves but I doubt they would do that. Don%26#039;t sign a new contract.
